Vonny Ratna Indah is a graduate of Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, ITB, in 1998, specializing in Painting Studio. In 2016 she graduated with a Master of Art from the IKJ Postgraduate Program. In all institutions, Vonny graduated Cum Laude (With Compliments).
Since college until now, she has always been in the field of art, either working full time in well-known companies in Indonesia as a graphic designer, fashion designer, or moving independently to exhibit at home and abroad, producing works of painting, art objects, and installations. other arts.
She had the opportunity to take part in the Artist in Residence Program in South Korea, in 2006, and since then she has been actively exhibiting with her friends abroad and at home.
Vonny works through canvas/painting media with various –isms and is often synonymous with art installations. She celebrate her arts concepts with explore any media such dools, art installations, art objects, photography, in addition to using paint on canvas or on other media. She worked on many art projects, such as murals, painting/mural restoration with them.
In 2017, she created Kebun Seni as a place to learn to teach visual arts using gardening methods and loving nature as the basis for her thinking. During private and class teaching, Vonny has led these students to become students at the best universities both at home and abroad.
Vonny's thoughts and community claims that artists must do this and that talent and interest in an object from a thought about humanity, society, religiosity is able to make me to create works of art that actually actualize these thoughts. “For me, art is a medium to put thoughts and ideas so that people can digest and reflect on it.” Until now, Vonny is still active in exhibiting and doing art activities. “I am an artist who lives to think by discussing it through the media, earning income from art, time/energy and even wasting material on an art.”
